The Organisation is a leading CBO in the field of Orphan and Vulnerable Children(OVC) and Adolescents and Young People (AGYP) and people who are affected by HIV and AIDS and Gender Based Violence(GBV). The Organisation was founded in 2019 by Lekgati Johannes Kekana a South African 33-year-old man. The organization is operating in South Africa. The Organization work draws its inspiration from Nelson Rolihlahla Madiba Mandela’s style, charisma and philosophy of life – ‘we shall all live in peace and harmony and we shall all be equal.
Free Us Community Organization (FUCO) is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (243-993 NPO) and Non-Profit Company (2024/178419/08 NPC). Which was established in the Zebediela Limpopo in 2019 and registered on 2020. With its vision works toward a world in which a well-planned, developed and supported social, health, educational service workforce engages people, structures and organizations to strengthen and build Individual, Child, Family and Community well-being and resilience.
FUCO’s mission is to promote and strengthen the social, health and educational services when and where they are most needed, alleviate poverty, challenge and reduce discrimination, promote social justice and human rights, and prevent and respond to violence and family separation in South Africa where we promote programmes like Nutrition, Genders and Health, Social Behaviour Change, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Water and Sanitation Hygiene, Educational Development, Economic Strengthening and Sports Development.
The ultimate aim is that these societies may be free from social illness and become more knowledgeable about social ills and learn to stand for themselves. Free Us Community Organization strives to set free and develop young and old within impoverished communities towards self-reliance, independence and achieving their full potential and thus also the potential of the community as a whole.
The organization is headed by Lekgati Johannes Kekana he is the Founder and Exective Director of the Oganisation and Accredited Facilitator who worked for Choice Trust as Facilitator and Future Families as GBV Ambassador and Board of Directors of qualified Social Workers and Project Manager.

Our mission is to promote and strengthen the social, health and educational services when and where they are most needed, alleviate poverty, challenge and reduce discrimination, promote social justice and human rights, and prevent and respond to violence and family separation.

To achieve this, we work to build and channel the political will, actions, resources, and structures necessary for a social service workforce that is knowledgeable, capable, critically reflective, resilient and committed.

APPROACH

We take a multifaceted approach to workforce strengthening, including strategies for planning, developing and supporting the workforce, in line with other system strengthening initiatives. In this, our key roles are to.

Serve as a convener for an inclusive, representative network of stakeholders including government organizations, civil society organizations, academic institutions, donor groups, professional associations and community practitioners to create a forum for discourse and collective learning.

Generate knowledge and build the evidence base for effective social service workforce strengthening by developing and sharing research, resources, tools, models and best practices.

Build capacity of humanitarian and development actors to implement strategies to strengthen the social service workforce.

Promote effective advocacy and stimulate an active network of workforce strengthening advocates through information sharing, collaboration, and networking.
